Computational Biology

Savanah Schuetz
She is an 11th grade student from The Instituto Educational Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She intends to major in Computational Biology.

Savanah is an exceptionally dedicated and positive student whose primary academic interests are Biology and AI. In her International Baccalaureate curriculum, she takes Higher Level Biology and Chemistry as well as Advanced Mathematics.

Learning objectives

  • Conduct a thorough literature review, perform close reading, and take detailed notes.
  • Digest, distill, and internalize information while identifying overarching themes through historical progression and lineage to construct a cohesive narrative for peers.
  • Organize your thought process effectively to draft a detailed outline, create term tables, and design illustrations with clear, self-contained captions.
  • Develop and refine the content progressively to complete a comprehensive and well-structured manuscript.

What challenges did she face?

  • Savanah’s challenge is to gain multiple skill sets in literature search, digest and review, written communication, and presentation aesthetics, all within a short period of time.

How did our program help her
?
