Stella is interested to pursue Psychology and aspires to enter either Upenn, UCLA, UCB or Cornell. She is currently doing AP Psychology course in school and did hospital shadowing work in Beijing. With a GPA of 96.5, she is ranked in the top 10%. She is an International Ambassador in a Global Culture Club at school, helping new international students.
What challenges did she face?
- Stella has strong passion in psychology and would like to work on a research paper with a professional but this wasn’t provided by her school.
- During the course of program, they had a challenging research process as they could not find appropriate measures for decision making task but that was managed well after guidance from Dr. Serwinski.
Matched professor:
A professor who holds a PhD in Psychology from UCL and is currently a MSc Health Psychology lecturer at NU London. At the same time, she is also a lecturer in Health Psychology and Psychosomatics at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) and at Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).
How did our program help her?
- Stella was able to produce a research paper at a higher level and learnt to do data analysis using SPSS to support her work.
- The professor gave Stella full support and would provide her with a letter of recommendation for her college application.
